Downgrading from G.fast to VDSL

I have G.fast but don't get amazing speeds as I'm 450m odd from cabinet, however,  I get a discount for this.

On G.fast I get 76mb/s down and 11mb/s up

On VDSL I was getting 60mb/s down and 20m/s up so not much difference but upload was better.

When G.fast was installed the BT faceplate was changed to a special G.fast one and a new BT Smart Hub 2 was supplied.  I'm thinking about moving back to VDSL as the router options are much better and get access to better broadband deals.

Does anyone know if the BT faceplate needs to be reverted and what's involved at the cabinet / exchange?

Is there anything to watch out for?

No need for faceplate change. Cab change is just disconnection from G.Fast pod and switch back to VDSL cab.

Cool

Do you think main risk for changing could be capacity issues in the cabinet and on the day of switchover something going wrong with cabinet change?

You can check that.Enter your phone number HERE if it says available then no capacity issue. If it says waiting list then capacity issue.
