I have noticed my download speed seems to be stuck at 16.1MB max attainable rate, my Upload does go up and down as usual but my download rate does not move at all I thought it was to do with DLM at first so I have left my equipment alone for months now and if like after the other day my HH5 had an update so it reset itself but started back up and its at 16.1MB again and if I do reset it myself its the same again all the time never goes up never goes down but my stats on my HH5 helpdesk page say Data Rate: 2275/22832 so I think somethings wrong with my connection. can someone please help. I have ran a diagnostic test on BT wholesale via ethernt and it reads the same output all the time never changes.
Max Attainable rate 16.1MB/ 15.51MB and Upload says 2.08MB which does fluctuate
Thanks for posting. I’ve had a look at the case history following our last email and your test results are in line with what your line is capable of which is between 12meg and 18meg.
Its gone down even lower now to 13MB Download speed, it cut off last night rebooted and all of a sudden this morning, since this comment its gone from 16MB down to 13MB. I'm not taking this anymore from BT its going beyound a joke your just taking the P**S out of me and my parents!!! I will be going to the obundsman if you dont sort it out! you may think your in control but I'm sure Watchdog would tend to differ with me along with many others, your just restricting my speeds, its quite bloddy obvious, it went from 28MB, then to 24MB, then to 23MB, then to 22MB, then to 19.1MB, then to 18MB, then to 16MB, and now down to 13MB Downtsream along with my estimates and you say its down to DLM and others connecting in a rural area with only 4 - 7 houses, **bleep**!!! You know exactly what your doing, its disgusting!. How long are you going to keep this up, your only doing this to us because you know we can only go with BT or Sky and Sky is **bleep** your just holding us to ransom in our area code!

Its bull**bleep** m8! You would never have that much reduction from a cab that is about 1100 away with only 6 houses between the FTTC cab and my house with 100% line quality to my house.
Edit: I've google mapped it and its just under a mile from the FTTC cab to my house with only 6 houses between and you tell me thats correct with a recording from a previous openreach engineer its got 100% line quality test infact he even said he has never seen a test as good as ours in a rural area before?
I have dialed 17070 many times my friend in the past and yesterday to check for line noise, not even a murmur, never once its as quite as a mouse!
OK fair enough its gone back up a bit after a reset yesterday but again stuck at exactly 16.1MB Download and 2.40MB Up so the up speed has risen a tad also if I have an upload speed of 2.40MB does that really match with a download speed of 16.1MB, I would of thought it would be higher than that to match the upload speed?. I'm still convinced and would bet a million on it that my connection if it was checked out by an individual company not openreach that my line is being restricted somehow at the exchange or at the FTTC, I don't know where abouts for sure but I can just tell! I just know it and to sit at exactly 16.1MB Download on every reboot and to never go above a single MB for now over 12 months or so, I don't beileive its a problem with the line at all I would bet my granny the problem is its being restricted somehow but BT are not letting on and why they are doing it its a mystery I just wish they would be honest and put my connection back to the way it was orignally, lets forget about the estimates, they are irrelevant I pay for up to 40/10MB Down so let the connection run at its optiumum, please BT, lets start of a fresh and put this behind us for good!
Seems the speeds have gone back down again just since yesterday, no reset, no turn off, no nothing, gone back down to this:-
Openreach in connection with BT or not, don't know for sure, one of the two are correct are 110% restricting my connection. I don't care what anyone tells me, mods here, whoever. I am having this investigated, if BT are not willing to sort this out. Its absolutely terrbile what they are doing, its wrong in fact and they know it, 110% for sure I am correct about this, I'm not going mad! If anyone at BT or anyone else in a higher position is willing to look into this for me and help me out properly you will find I am correct, that's if there not in cahoots with openreach over this matter. I swear and I know for sure about what I am saying and know one is willing to sort it out and help me cause they know I am right. What can I do, any suggestions on this please? what can I do??? I could either leave BT and have the option to go with sky cause our area is only a BT/Sky area so I only have those options and I dont think going with sky would make any difference cause its openreach who are causing me the problems, I think? I don't think the supplier will make any difference? also iIhave heard sky has an awful service. I really am at the end of my tether and really frustrated and upset over this cause I know I am right!!!! Someone help me please, this is just awful and really wrong 😞
