Download speeds less than 1MBPS all the time

Hi guys,

I recently joined BT and have the BT homehub, I've been having connection issues since my first day. The connection drops on average once every 3 hours and the speed is ridiculously slow. I've changed the ADSL filters, tested the connection with the master socket and moved the router away from any power source but nothing has changed.. I've run a speed test and checked my router details, these can be found below, Thanks in advance and I hope I can resolve this issue.

DIAGNOSTIC TEST RESULTS:

Download speed achieved during the test was - 0.98 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds  is 0.4 Mbps-1 Mbps.
IP Profile for your line is - 1.01 Mbps

Upload speed achieved during the test was - 1.07Mbps
 Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 0.83 Mbps

We were unable to identify any performance problem with your service at this time.

Re: Download speeds less than 1MBPS all the time

You are currently in a banded profile, which can be seen by your very high noise margin and low connection speed. You need to maintain a stable connection for at least 3 days and the banding will begin to reduce automatically, but may not fully restore your previous speeds as this can take time. See this link for more about banding: http://www.plus.net/support/broadband/speed_guide/broadband_terminology.shtml#bandedProfiles
