E-mail setting for THREE network

Hi. I am using a Galaxy S3 and I am on the THREE network. I can receive e-mails no problems but not send them.

Is there a seting I need to change? Basically, THREE have said this. Help please.

Do they support email forwarding via third party?
- Do they support outgoing email traffic via any other port other than Port 25 or 587, 465 or 486?

Re: E-mail setting for THREE network

You would have to ask Three, as this forum can only help with BT Broadband problems.

This page should help.

Re: E-mail setting for THREE network

THREE are referring me back to BT. I can't get a simple answer from the online people, they want to charge me £30! Is there another BT E-mail forum?

Hi. Welcome to the forums.

I assume you are referring to sending "three" emails via BTYahoo! ?

What error message are you receiving when trying to send ? Typically ISPs (probably as well as mobile type companies) prevent non connected users from using their mail servers. So in order to send "three" emails you need to go through address verification using your BTinternet email address. See my shortcuts, link below, option 0e

Re: E-mail setting for THREE network

I cannot see what this has to do with BT, if you are on the Three network, as they are your service provider?

Re: E-mail setting for THREE network

Make sure that in the email outgoing settings you have the "Require sign-in" box ticked.

Re: E-mail setting for THREE network

Maybe I didnt explain as well as I should have done.

I have a BT Yahoo account, all set up on the Galaxy S3 I have, via the Three Network. I can receive mail no worries, but it refuses to send them. It just simply says sending failed. I assume this is something to do with the outgoing configuration. I was hoping to find out if I need to change the config or something like that.

Cheers
