From reading other threads am I correct in assuming that I need a moderator to take forward my request to move from ADSL to ADSL 2 or 2+ ?
Does this incur any additional monthly costs from BT.

@gary63 the cost would normally be the same but it may involve reconnecting on a new 12 month term as it is an upgrade on your existing service. Have you asked ring what the minimum upload speed is needed for it to work? ADSL2+ has a max upload of 1Mb but it will likely be around 700 to 800kbps.
@gary63 I just found the following info on google so ADSL2+ might not be enough.
A minimum of 2 Mbps Upload and Download speed is recommended for the best streaming performance for Ring Pro and Floodlight Cam.

We have the basic Ring Doorbell and specifications are, and we have checked with Ring, around 1mb - so ADSL2 would more than suffice for our needs
