Early Cancellation: What obligation to BT have to provide service?

On BT Ts & Cs BT you will find the following:

Our responsibility to you:

We guarantee:

  1. to provide the service by the date we agree with you;
  2. to repair a service failure in line with the repair service you have chosen, with Standardcare this means by midnight on the third weekday (not including public and bank holidays) after the day you report the fault to us unless a specific appointment date is agreed. We will treat a fault reported after 9pm on a weekday, or anytime at weekends or on public or bank holidays, as if you reported the fault at 8am on the next weekday after the day you reported the fault to us.

Has anybody been able to cancel a contract when BT fail to deliver on both of the above Ts & Cs?

I have been with BT now from April 02 2015. switched from Sky. 12 day delay on the Internet and still no incoming calls.

Faults & complaints procedure intact since the beginning.

I want to switch back to Sky after 1 month + few days.

Re: Early Cancellation: What obligation to BT have to provide service?

It sounds like your number has not been ported over. Perhaps Sky have not released your number to BT.

I have asked a moderator to provide assistance, they will post an invite on this thread.

They are the only BT employees on this forum, and are a UK based team of people, who take personal ownership of your problem.

Once you get a reply, make sure that you are logged into the forum, then click on their name, you will see a screen like this. Click on the link as shown below.
Please do not send them a personal message, as they cannot deal with service issues that way.

For your own security, do not post any personal details, on this forum. That includes any tracking number you are give.

They will respond either by phone or e-mail, when its your turn in the queue.
Please use the tracked e-mail, to reply, not via the forum. Thanks

This is the form you should see when you click on the link. If you do not see this form, then you have selected the wrong link.
When you submit the form, you will receive an enquiry number, so please keep a note of it
