Electrical interference

We have two Bt tv boxes.  The non recordable one works fine but the main one which we can record on has static interference on the HD channels if we switch on a lamp or anything else electrical in the room - any suggestions please ?

Re: Electrical interference

Including the main room light? What if you plug the lamp into a different socket?

Re: Electrical interference

I can understand that but it was happening before we put the tree up.  The screen pixilates on HD channels if we plug anything in a socket in the room
