Once every couple of days I get a popup telling me we have an email problem and to launch desktop help. When I do this it tries to load then second screen stays blank.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, same problem.
I also get my email password rejected on a regular basis and/or the status remains at 'authorising'.
I am using Windows Live Mail as my client.
The only solution I have found is to reset my Home Hub 2, and everything works for a couple of days till the next time.
I do not have a password problem, as when I log into btinternet.com (which I do regularly to check my spam) my mail works beautifully.
I would prefer a more elegant solution as I have to stretch to reach my HomeHub2.
Permanently uninstall any trace of desktop help - causes more problems that it's worth.
Agreed, BTDesktop Help is a load of software junk. Uninstall it. It will be what is causing your problems.
