Since the 1st of June I have been unable to send or receive any emails on my @btopenworld.com accounts using Windows Live Mail 2012 or Thunderbird email clients.
Access via the BT.com site is fine.
I have changed my password on BT.com and triple checked the email client settings but only web access works.
Has anyone got advice on how to fix the problem, I have tried BT Live Chat without success.
Thanks.

Log in and out again at login.yahoo.com, that can sometimes kick things back into life.
Have you tried using your old password?
Yes, but did you try using your old password on the client. Sometimes password changes don't sync properly, new works on webmail, old works on clients.

Hi.
The usual thing to do is to do nothing, no settings change, nor password change.
However as you've changed password, what you might like to do is use the old password in one of the client - you can see the password and delete from Password manager in Thunderbird (Tools/Options/Security/passwords) - you might need to exit TB, then start it again and try to access the mail account. It will ask you for a password, try the old one.
If you are with BTYahoo (webmail access shows a Yahoo image), then the access method by licquorice can work sometimes. If not, try the client now and then - one with the old password, one with the new password. Hopefully one of them will just start working.
