My emails in the inbox prior to 9/4/21 have disappeared. No fix from BT despite two calls. The other mail account that I have with BT is ok. Very strange!

Did you notice if the emails disappeared in one go?
Have you checked all the devices you access your email on as an email programme or mobile device with POP3 settings rather than IMAP may have caused this?
All devices have the same IMAP settings. All emails disappeared at the same time
