Email link on Home Page not working

Go to solution

I was migrated to BT Mail over the weekend.

The operation seemed to go smoothly and I also created a BT ID.

I normally access my email via the last link in the blue bar across the top of the BT Home Page.

This was working fine all day yesterday but today when I click the link all that happens is that my home page refreshes.

I'm using Firefox 32.0.3 (as I was yesterday) and running XP, SP3.

Anybody else seeing this?

BT Mail is down here also.

I use IE 11, Windows 7 and and error code 550, Web Page not available appears.

Probably some maintenance is being done.

Last time was a few weeks ago and it took one hour to come back.

I wasn't even getting an error message, just a home page refresh.

However, after many attempts I was presented with a login page and can now access email.

Thanks for your reply.

I am guessing that you want a link from BT Help pages http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/47531/kw/setting%20up%20outlook/c/346,6769

If you use Internet Explorer then there's a mail symbol which appears in the menu bar to open mail, which you should set up as your default mail, e.g Outlook 2013.  It is then simpler than opening up from the desktop icon.

It's more of a long term task, however. You will see from other posts that it can take some time to set up correctly.

I have just checked web mail access via Chrome & IE11 both give the log on page but when username & password are inserted absolutely nothing happens, no error message just 'Log in to email' button aquires an underline.

Even reporting to BT's CEO doesn't seem to get much action, so much for the old rule "Get it right, first time, every time!' which seems to have gone out of the window.

It's working here.
I've just logged in and out of BT mail on the iPad.
Wonder if it's regional?
