I hope it is just me - and I fear it isn't - but lots of problems this morning with downloading emails. Is one of the Yahoo mail servers having problems again? Web mail works but Outlook gives (the usual) errors on 'recieve' for all of my BT email accounts. Posting here to see if it is just me having a problem.
It's not just you. Primary and secondary accounts are very slow and mostly not accepting passwords.
BT, isn't it time you sorted this problem once and for all?
POP3 email's virtually dead up here in North Wales. ID/PW pop up on the primary an all secondary accounts. It's probably not the 'old' PW/ID problem but a bigger new one - Olympics overload related perhaps?
My email is totally useless this morning. (Lancashire).
It keeps asking for my login details.
Will just have to wait... and wait...and wait.
My details are:- pop3 account - mail.btinterntet.com, using Outlook 2007 for past 5 years, so why change things?
It's the server that is the problem.
I don't want to go on to IMap as I think it will just be more of the same problems.
I have just re entered my details in the accounts settings page in Outlook 2007 and have finally connected and received a test message.
Some progress at least!
I'll just leave well alone for today.
And the Broadband Service Status page at bt.broadband.announce reads:
The Broadband Service Status on the 31st July 2012 at 09:50
BTYahoo! Broadband Customers:
There are currently no reported problems on BTYahoo Broadband.
BT, you just don't care one little bit.
As posted elsewhere the so called support line made matters worse for me yesterday and after 2 hours plus on the phone blamed my Outlook which had funily enough been OK for the past 6 plus years, what a total and utter shambles, when I refused to be fobbed off I was put through to a tech support guy who told me all about it being a recognised problem.
BT you are a complete and utter joke, pull your fingers out and fix this please!
Well, that is spectacular! All Yahoo mail - not just the BT bit of it - seems to have disappeared: both webmail and client downloads. And the BT service status page isn't there for me.
