Email problems when using Orange France WiFi pass

I was in Paris for a few days and wished to check emails one day. Orange have widespread WIFI hotspots in France, and I paid for a 30 minute pass, but when I tried to Send using MS Outlook for Android the 3 emails appeared to send, after Outlook demanded a new login to the BT server, but in fact they never did, not appearing in Sent folder, and they just disappeared. The Orange portal requested a fresh login, despite having displayed a page saying I was logged in. What was frustrating was that going back a page revealed the User Number and Password for only about 1 second before reverting to the Status Page, far too short to make a note of it.


Has anyone experienced this? Can anyone throw any light on it please? If not, just take it as a warning to be wary of using Orange France WiFi!


I fared better with a 1 hr pass a day later.
