Emails disappered

Help...... all my emails have disappeared overnight from my inbox. Called BT, they just said tough things happen, not helpful, and now very stressed as I have lost a lot of important stuff can anybody help.

Have you checked your "Trash" folder?

How do you access your email account, is it via a web browser or an email client/app?

If it is via an email client/app which one are you using?

If it is via an email client/app is it set up as an IMAP or POP3 account?

Do you access your email on more than one device?
