Hi - yesterday managed to set up new laptop and linked emails in the inbox but since then no emails to my BT email address coming through on mobile phone. Keep getting "account /error:BTinternet Can not Connect to the Server for "BTinternet" Mail can try to repair these settings. Cannot get Mail The server "mail.btinternet.com". Verify that you have entered the correct account info in mail settings. I go to mail settings and all looks ok

incoming mail server
Host Name mail.btinternet.com
User name (my email address)
Password ****** (can't remove this)
outgoing Mail Server
SMTP mail.btinternt.com click and it takes me to primary server - mail.btinternt.com takes me to server port 465
advanced settings has server port 993
I am really don't know what to try next - Im' sure it will be something so simple as a tick or something but I am missing emails during the day

Have you made the same typo on your phone as in this post, you missed out the 'e' in internet.
The outgoing mail server (SMTP) is mail.btinternet.com, port 465, SSL
Incoming server (IMAP) is mail.btinternet.com, port 993, SSL
If the settings that licquorice provided don't work you could try the following setting that some users have found works for them.
Incoming Server: imap.btinternet.com
Can't guarantee this will work but give it a try. Turn off your mobile and iPad to stop them trying to access the mail server, change your email password using webmail on the laptop, wait at least an hour to give the mail servers chance to sync password and then try again with your mobile using the new password.
Hi - finally sorted it by deleting account on iphone and then switching off and on again and then added account back on and hey presto all sorted - thank you for your patience with me - much appreciated
