Some guidance to avoid any fees.

Yes I have seen that thank you but really, being a bit thick, is the simple answer yes or no? Thanks.
Hi @Piecringe as your contract ends on the 15th May then as long as the new provider is taking over the service on or later than the 15th you won't have any termination charges. If the transfer was the 14th see @-Richie- post earlier on the this thread.
Cheers
John
So I will be safe to proceed on the 2nd May? At one second after midnight!

You said earlier, your end date is 15th May.
The transfer usually takes 10 - 14 days , so as stated earlier just make sure the takeover date for your new provider
is on or after the 15th May.

If bt raise there prices you have 28 days to cancel contract penalty free I've done it myself, just wait they normally raise prices at least once a year sometimes more
That's no longer the case - see the reply to your identical post elsewhere.
This was explained to you here https://community.bt.com/t5/Bills-Packages/Bt-contract/m-p/1936475#M108612
Please do not post misleading and out of date information, as the T&C were changed at the start of this year.
