Under normal conditions, I can watch the BT Sport player on my laptop without issue on IE, Google Chrome, and Firefox.
I am however receiving the 6030 error, on all browsers on my laptop, ONLY when the laptop is plugged into the TV via HDMI cable.
Can anyone (hopefully BT) explain why this may be the case? Obviously all license requirements with Silverlight are satisfied to enable playback before HDMI connection, so why the issue after?
Is there a setting I need to tweak to enable this or will I be unable to watch via the laptop on a larger display?
You would have thought that with BT offering no multi-room facility, the ability to watch via a further licenced device attached to a standard sized display should be made more accessible.
As a side note, it does make me wonder whether the display issue is in fact the problem (rather than silverlight) for those with up to date silverlight versions and still receiving the 6030 error.
This sounds like some sort of macrovision protection which VGA doesn't offer, only DVI and HDMI connections would work.
lejogger, and anyone else suffereing from 6030, it would be worth checking for updated drivers for your graphics card to see if this improves the situation.
Same here it worked fine on the laptop during the week and now errors 6025, 6036 and vc010 nonsense. Drivers and silverlight are fine. Only difference was vga display out to a TV. Still can't get it working.
hi i had the same problem. i had to install the microsft fix it centre. install it and scroll down to the - programme install and uninstall troubleshooter- and click run. click on - installing , when all ur programmes come up find silverlight and highlight it then click -next, then -no ,try other. if theres a problem it will fix it, then shutdown and try again hope it works for u
I'd like to add to the couple of posts earlier on this page mentioning updating the video driver, I tried that this morning (after trying countless other "solutions") and for the first time I was able to access BT sport player.
I was only able to try it once this morning and have been out all day and tried again an hour ago and it's still working. I'm not counting my chickens but so far so good.
Sorry, can't seem to see the edit feature but my above post was in relation to a 6025 error message.
Yes ok I've found it now!
