Error code ID006 trying to watch BT Sport

I was assured by BT support that I can use the BT Sport App via NOW TV but after logging in successfully earlier and ticking the 'Keep Me Logged In' box  when I tried to watch the Communuty Shield Football yesterday it required me to log in again - ID006 Error  was shown and I was asked to try again - after 4 attempts of typing in my very long ID I gave up.  I am currently being charged £14 pm for BT Sport.

Hi @phil141

Welcome to the BT Community and thanks for your post!  I have moved your post to start your own thread discussion.

I'm sorry that you're seeing error code ID006 when trying to log in to watch BT Sport.  Are you logging into the standalone app on your device?  Which device is it you're trying to log into the app on?

Cheers,

Robbie

it's via the NOW TV App 'BT Sport' watching on TV through a NOW TV Stick logged in using BT User name and password - didn't work and the whole family missed the match

Re: Error code ID006 trying to watch BT Sport

I'm guessing this issue is resolved by now, but for reference this error means that the login was rejected due to a problem with the account that isn't invalid credentials (ID001) or missing subscription (ID003). The most common cause is the account is locked out due to suspicious activity - e.g. attempts to log in with valid credentials from a suspicious location. Usually just logging into bt.com/mybt will start the process of asking you to revalidate your account to unlock it.
