For about the last week I've been getting error code WP015 for every single on-demand video in BT TV that I try to watch on my computer. Nothing changed at my end that I'm aware of, it just stopped working.
The BT web-chat 'follow-the-script' bots have been utterly unhelpful - one of them suggested I do a factory reset of my YouView box, despite having made clear that the box works fine, it's the web player that's the problem. Somebody did call me back to suggest I uninstall and reinstall Silverlight, but when that didn't work I asked the web chat people to arrange a further call back and have heard nothing. This is really frustrating, as the primary device I use to watch BT TV is my computer.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this problem? Live TV channels work, bizarrely - it's only on-demand stuff that doesn't. This leads me to suspect it might be a DRM issue? On demand works on the phone app and YouView box, it's just the IE based player that's the problem.
Also, out of interest, does anyone know if BT are going to get rid of their antiquated Silverlight-based system any time soon?
Hi @TrevXe Sorry you are not able to watch any on demand content on your computer.
I've checked the error code you are receiving and it suggests to try refreshing the page and trying the action again and if this doesn’t work, try closing your browser down and loading on a new browser session.
If the issue persists after this please can you confirm some of the shows you have been trying to watch so we can investigate further.
Cheers
John
Hi @TrevXe Thanks for confirming that. Just one final question have you tried a different browser?
Cheers

I am having the exact same issue on my laptop, Error code WP015. IE11 is installed, silverlight works perfectly with other players, but I cannot watch any on demand programs. I've tried Firefox and Chrome, both of which I appreciate do not support Silverlight so are of no use. On top of that, when I try to watch live TV on my laptop I get a popup box which tells me to go turn on my Youview box and tune to whichever channel. Any help would be much appreciated.
Hi @fugee,
I'm sorry you're having problems with the BT Player online. I'll be able to get this investigated. Please can you send me in your details using the "Contact The Mods" link found in my profile?
Thanks

I should add that BTsport works absolutely fine on my laptop using IE11. So the problem must be with on demand streaming surely.
Microsoft have a self help article that should help you with this. You can find it at the following link:
How to clean a corrupted Silverlight installation and then reinstall Silverlight
I hope that helps you both. Have a great day
Thanks
