I don't get the best internet connection in my room. So with my many devices, I want to put an ethernet port in my room (at the back of the house) so that I can plug my devices straight into it so I can get the best possible connection. Ideally, I would like the cable to go over the house. how or who could give me a quote to get this done or is it even possible

You would need to find a local company that does network cabling, some electrical contractors do.
Have you considered broadband extenders?

Here is an example of a link to a TV.
You could connect one end to the BT Home hub, and the other end to your computer.
If you are able to run normal wiring yourself, then the making off of cat6 cable isn't difficult and the tools are really cheap.
Outdoor Cat6 cable is about £50 for 100M
You can run cable around the outside of the house then in and out through holes in the wall just like an ariel cable.
There are websites to ask for quotes for small jobs.
The powerline ethernet extenders are ok, but nothing beats a direct wired connection so certainly worth it.
