Expanding landline phones

Go to solution

Hi all,

My Grandma has a cordless BT Handset in the hall way. She is having the garden done up with a summer house (posh shed) put at the bottom of the garden.

I checked the phone signal strength and it's pretty much none existent. I don't think getting another base would solve the problem because the signal doesn't reach.

Is there a way I could link a new landline phone onto the WiFi, which would still act as a landline with the current phone?

Thanks,

Jack

Thanks John, not what I wanted to hear but I'll go with it!
I assume the best way to fix it is move the base and get another for the shed? Putting a landline extension in isn't an option really.

There's the BT Elements 1k Cordless Phone. Works upto 1km away, hence why it's called the 1k.

Most people haven't heard of it as it's usually aimed at Business Customers, places like Farms and in Factories, Warehouses, etc.
