I'm on Superfast Fibre Unlimited, which is supposed to give me an average of 50mbps.
Since a few days ago, in the evening times I'm barely getting 3mbps. I can understand it being slower at peak times but 50 to 3?
I've definitely eliminated any possibility of it being an issue with my set-up or equipment as I'm happily getting over 40mbps in the morning at 7am.
Anyone know what the issue is? I've gone through complaints and live chat but they haven't exactly been the most helpful.
Sounds like it could be congestion which BTWholesale will be aware of and have steps in place to fix. It is pointless ringing support for this as they don't have the tools to diagnose it.
Could you run the speed test HERE and once the first test completes scroll down and click on "Further Diagnostics", post the result of that test and also tell us which exchange you are on.
Once you do that we'll get a mod to take a look for you.

Hi @banana999 I'm really sorry to see you're having speed problems at peak times. I've checked and all the Paddington SVLAN's appear to be ok on the latest congestion report but we'll be happy to look into this further if you send over your details.

Don't worry, the mod that picks it up for you will get to the bottom of it and resolve it ASAP for you. All you need to do now is give them the time to track the problem down. They will keep you updated on it.

Thank you for sending in your details. I've ran a few checks on your line and it is affected by a capacity issue at the exchange. I've reported this to Wholesale for further investigation. I should have an update for you in the next 48 hours.

Wholesale have got back to me to confirmed that they've made some changes on the Network and switch you connection over to a less congested circuit.
Please can you retest you speeds this evening and let me know if you have seen an improvement?
