Extremely Slow Speeds in the evening.

Apologies for another post like this, this forum send to be full of them, but I didn't want to hijack someone elses post.

Since mid December my infinity 1 speed in the evening has been between 1mb and 2mb. During the day I get 20mb-30mb.

I have been reading elsewhere that BT don't throttle and it's more than likely congestion at my exchange, which is LONGSTRATTON Cabinet 9.

Is anyone like a mod able to confirm if there is any reported congestion problems at my exchange? Or does anyone have any suggestions on how I can troubleshoot poor speeds in the evening only?

Can you use this speed tester then carry out the further diagnostics and post back a screen shot of all the results including your IP profile for up and down. This test must be done with a wired connection.

Will do John. What I'll do tomorrow is a test during the day and then again the same test on the evening and then post back.

On bt wholesale speed test, do i need to do the tap test by changing my login on the router in order to get the results you want?

The TAP3 test is not needed, and cannot be run on a BT home hub anyway.

A look at the connection stats from your hub would be advisable too. Which hub have you got?

Yes, they're OK. It looks like you have a bit of congestion during the day as well. That should be resolved at the same time.
