The connection range for my bt hub doesnt reach out of the room it is in which is the main bedroom as that is where the computer is so we can use wired connection and that is the only place where it could be installed other than the bathroom. Im not kidding in any way that it doesnt reach out of the room. I feel this service is extremely poor and i want out. In the advert for the product it clearly said it would "fill the house with broadband" or something to that extent. This is unacceptable as im paying for it every month and getting almost nothing out of it. Anyways im struggling to get in contact with anyone who would actually know what they are talking about. Any help ?
The wired connection is also pathetic. Not sure if that matters but just really fed up with the overall crappy service.
Can you run this checker and post back a screen shot of the results. Make sure you delete your phone number before posting.
and use this speed tester then scroll down the page and carry out the further diagnostics and post back a screen shot of all the results including your IP profile for up and down. This test must be done with a wired connection.
If you have a Homehub 5 can you post the stats from 1-12 by logging onto the Homehub management pages then troubleshooting > helpdesk. http://bthomehub.home/
If you have the Smart Hub, (Homehub 6) can you go to hub manager then advanced then technical log and post the stats. http://bthomehub.home/
Is there any noise on your phone calls? Dial 17070 and select option 2, there should be no noise between the announcements.
