Re: Extremely slow download speeds

John,

How can he when if fails. I have the same problem, although I live in Exeter. I am banging my head against the wall with BT customer service, and everytime I have tried the BT speed tester it fails as well probably because the connection speed is so slow, it times out!!

Re: Extremely slow download speeds

Yea sounds like I am having same problems as you Mark (i just finished reading your post). Strangely after emailing the mods on the forum and then noticing in my emails I have an engineer booked for tomo, things have picked up slowly today. I can load webpages but am still experiencing bad lag when playing games etc.

Re: Extremely slow download speeds

My speed is staying the same. I have just about been able to use this forum, but it is soooo slow loading the pages. Most sites, will take at least a minute to load, if at all.... and those that do, don't load completely. Lots of blank frames etc.

Re: Extremely slow download speeds

Right now as I've said web pages are ok, just tried to watch something on 4oD and gave up after about 10 secs after it was obvious the stream was gonna be poor (starting and stopping alot).

Almost went out and brought a dongle today just to have some sort of internet access that isnt as bad as dial-up.

If the issue isnt resolved in the next few days I will  be canceling the contract due to poor quality of service.

Re: Extremely slow download speeds

So i was just about to try a different router to make sure its not the hub but before i did I gave the hub one more restart to test the connect.

Both the BT Beta tester and speedtest.net are showing a 1.7mb connection!

I wont hold my breath on how long it will last tho. Keeping my fingers crossed!
