So the engineer has been and gone now.
Before he turned up the speed seemed ok, bit slower connection then normal but alot better then the past few days.
Anyway, he fitted a new socket to the master socket as the cover we had on it was really really old. He did a few tests and said line appears to be working perfectly. He did mention that after the Birmingham issue, for some peoples connections, the exchange wasn't reseting the connection properly and said that could be the problem.
Hes going to request the port to be reset at the exchange and that I will be back in to training period for 10 days while the connection stabilizes.
