We have put together a short survey to capture your feedback in terms of what BT can do when you experience home Wi-Fi issues. We would appreciate it if you could take a couple of minutes to complete a short survey. Read more from here, Fix my home Wi-Fi
the other options are Roku or NowTV box - as for watching movies all devices except Apple TV show in SD, and youview is the only device that you can't have the entertainment or sports on.
for on-demand players you can't beat consoles or the roku as you have them all on one unit so no need to keep swapping about
the other options are Roku or NowTV box - as for watching movies all devices except Apple TV show in SD unless its on-demand, which is 720p, and youview is the only device that you can't have the entertainment or sports on.
I was referencing the movies on demand content which on YouView is uniquely restricted to SD only whereas it is available in 720p on all other devices. Of course. NowTV on YouView doesn't have live streaming channels.
PC, Apple (not TV) and Android are all SD for on-demand content
ps: updated my post as you were quoting me
Fair point - I'd misremembered the post on the NowTV website. However, generally speaking viewing on a pc/apple computer or Android device largely wouldn't be able to take advantage of HD viewing anyway given the size of the screens they are being viewed on.
To rephrase then, YouView remains the only set-top box solution which is designed for viewing on large screen TVs which is unable to handle HD broadcasts by NowTV.
yeh, even though it should be able to play hd content and also stream - the reason they probably can't stream is because of BT/Sky but not sure as there are other channels that stream on the box without subscriptions
Heres a cut n paste from the Now TV web site if this helps:
|Device||On Demand||Live Movies or|
|NOW TV Box||720p||SD||720p|
|PC or Mac||SD||SD||SD|
Spoke to COT there, the guy said theres no new offer`s today. The best he can offer me is £1.50 off a month which is ent max. I then asked him why i was asked to call back today and he said " no idea". What total waste of my time. what a sham of an operation bt customer options are!!!
BT need to come up with something to replace Fox not just go and be done with it. Will they be losing any more channels ?
