Hi
I could really do with some advice please
I have had an FTTC connection for about 2 years
Initial download speed was 14-15mb. That dropped off to around 12-13mb for the past two years
After being on holiday for two weeks, I have come back and I am now getting 6-8mb
I logged a call with support and they sent an engineer out
He said he thought it might be an intermittent fault and he would reset the connection and if it didn't improve then I should get them out again
Support are now saying the they will not send an engineer back out, as my contract is for 7-15mb and I'm inside that
My neighbour is connected to the same exchange though and he is still getting 12mb speeds
Don't know where to go now, but I'm not happy with a 50% drop in speed over two weeks!!!
My connection info is:-
Only difference on my neighbours stats is that his Line attenuation is 41.3/35 and his signal attenuation is 39.2/28.9
Any help would be really appreciated
Thanks
Steve
Anyone have any ideas please?
Can anyone help with this please????
Sounds like a similar issue to mine. I put a post up a short while ago.
To be honest, I don't know what the cause of the issue is and BT are not interested so I have requested a deadlock letter so I can take this further.
Thanks for the reply
It's terrible, their customer service must be the worst in the world!!
They just won't listen to me at all. Not interested in helping, they just keep quoting the contract
What is a deadlock letter?
Is no one able to office any help or advice on this please?
The next step for me is to cancel my broadband with BT and go to somewhere else
I'm not paying over £20 per month for this sort of service
Hi John
Thanks very much for your reply, I really appreciate your help
Please forgive my frustration, after two weeks of speaking to BT Technical support I'm at the end of my tether
The quite line test was fine
Here are HH5 stats and the Broadband stats
