FTTC Range A

Hi,

I am gettting about 4.7Mb on BT Faster broadband. I can see this is the lowest I can get in the FTTC Range A.

Are these values speeds to the cabinet or to my house?

cheers

FTTC Range A (Clean)8.54.71.20.8--Available
FTTC Range B (Impacted)6.42.31.20.5--Available

Re: FTTC Range A

These are estimates to your home otherwise they would be pointless

Re: FTTC Range A

have you tried connecting direct to the test socket with a new filter to see if that improves your connection speed?

Re: FTTC Range A

Is the 4.7 you say you are getting the achieved speed during a test or the connection speed as shown in the HH5 helpinfo stats?

5. DSL uptime:0 days, 01:06:01
6. Data rate:1085 / 4735
7. Maximum data rate:1085 / 4728
8. Noise margin:6.6 / 6.3
9. Line attenuation:18.4 / 39.8
10. Signal attenuation:18.4 / 32.3

Download speed was syncing close to 8db today but just got a "PPP LCP Send Termination Request [User request]" & it resynced to 6db but not much of a speed increase.

Engineer when installed said he'd expected to get more speed out of my line too
