Hi All,
A bit of a weird one this...
Openreach have recently announced on their fibre checker that FTTP is available for my home and list a number of providers. I am already with BT, so it makes sense to stay with them, especially since I am tied into a contract that would cost a little to leave.
Now, if I use the BT Business fibre checker site to check my postcode it shows FTTP is available and I am able to place and order:-)
If I use BT Consumer fibre checker site to check my postcode it shows FTTP is not available I am offered adsl at a blistering 2.2 Mbit/s:-(
If I try another provider, lets say "Aquiss" all is good, as a consumer I can get fibre.
What's going on here? I just want to place and order and have it delivered as soon as the Covid-19 restrictions ease enough.
Thanks
Patrick
The BT Business checker would be showing Fibre On Demand, which is an very expensive business only product.
