Re: Failed Recording

As I say, I've never had any issues since doing it. So when you've watched all of your recordings I would recommend doing that.

Re: Failed Recording

Go to solution

Hello.

Within the last two weeks, I too have been getting failed recordings. They are mainly record on HD channels, BBC 1,2 and Ch 4.

As these programmes were on after my box goes into "deep sleep", perhaps this is the problem, but this is a new issue if it is.

My scheduled recordings have been disappearing too, again for the failed recordings.

Any ideas?

Re: Failed Recording

I missed more recordings last night, the problem seems to be getting worse. Anyone got any ideas other than factory reset - like I said in my first comment I already tried that and it didn't work to fix the issue

I had 5 failed recordings yesterday. BBC1 HD , Channel 5HD , Channel 4 & ITV HD. Afetr these failures there were 2 successful recordings.

Well our issue now seems intermittent. None failed since last week. Will keep updated if we have any further issues.

Re: Failed Recording

Ever recording failing on my box, ITV, C4, E4. Had 1 success in last 2 weeks, which was on BBC and happened to be a program we watched. Just deleted my scheduled recordings and reset them. All now set up, but one of them shows as a series record @ 3:45 in the morning and this isn't what I've  selected.

i have also rebooted machine prior to doing all this, so fingers crossed

Re: Failed Recording

It's my view that this is a NextGen Youview issue.

I say that because my DTR-T4000 on OldGen (lists) and my 5 year old Panasonic have not missed any recordings ever. I'm currently recording the same programs on my Panasonic as on my DTR-T2100 running 29.45 software as the Youview box is not currently the most reliable device around.

When I had my 5 failed recordings the iOS app wasn't being updated from the T2100 until I brought the unit out of standby at which point the iOS app suddenly showed the current status - of failures.

I'm going to set up an old Humax HDR Fox T2 to record the same as the T2100 over the next few weeks as an extra monitoring device.

I have seen no signs of Bt or Youview showing any interest in this , apparently , growing problem.

Re: Failed Recording

I tried something similar, my old Humax is recording programmes that are failing on my youview box.

By going into settings and changing it to only go into standby after 12 hours, and making sure to switch something manually every 12 hours I can keep the youview box out of standby and the recordings work. But obviously this isn't a good solution and it wouldn't work for anyone going away from home.
