Failed installation of BT Infinity

Hi there. I decided to upgrade from BT total broadband and placed an order for BT infinity 2 about 2 weeks ago, had the engineer come in this morning and head over to the local cabinet. After he came back he had told me that apparently the ports or whatever it may be in the cabinet are not working properly. Apart from telling me what the problem is, he hasn't exactly told me what to do other than he will contact me. Should I contact BT to send an engineer over and fix the problem at the local cabinet? Because this is the only option I can think of now. Thanks
