Faulty hub6

Bought and tried a TP-Link wireless router but ADSL light continually flashing and device never synchronised. Plugged smart hub back in and it started working! For now! Have no idea what is going on now. Can anyone suggest anything?

Which model TP Link router is it?

That is an ADSL modem/router rather than a VDSL modem/router. You need to look at either the 9970 or VR600

I assume you have Infinity rather than standard broadband.

Yep got infinity. Cable to cabinet across the road then down phone line from there. Was advised in maplin that I'd need an ADSL router cos of this. Guess I got wrong advice?

Oh dear, Maplin don't seem to have much of a clue. You were advised on here to get a VDSL modem/router.

Bought Nd set up TP-LINK VDSL TD-W9970 today. Immediate connection to all devices including those that have failed to connect to BT smart hub for 4 weeks. Seems like problem is solved. Poor quality BT kit. Thanks to all contributors here for your help.

Its all about marketing these days, it does not matter if it does not work very well, as long as it looks good.
