I thought you were talking about your post with 76mb and the drop from that.  if it is last checker results then you are within the 'A' band

But why would they cut my A band by 25 mbps?

On the other issue my laptop has been connected straight into the white modem as suggested and I havnt experienced the loss of speed down to 20 or so mbps like before, so would this indicate an issue. With my router/hub?

To be honest if my speed would stay at a steady 50 or so I wouldn't worry so much about it, when it keeps cutting to 20 it becomes annoying.
