Fibre 100 connection speeds reduced by rebooting?

I had a really good connection with close to the 150Mbps download and 30Mbps upload specified. I use a Linksys WRT3200ACM router and was installing various packaged on it (OpenWRT). Each time I was rebooting the router. The connection speeds have since dropped considerably. I suspect that the exchange has seen the reboots and incorrectly thought that the connection was unstable. So if I leave the router on will the connections gradually improve as the exchanges notices the connection is OK, or do I need to contact BT to get the line reset?

Connection should recover automatically but it can take the DLM a few weeks of stable connection before any improvement

Thanks. I'll see how it goes! I now know to be careful not to reboot the router too often!
