Re: Open reach says Yes, Infinity says No

The dates are estimates. Would seem your cab isn't ready yet.

An exchange can be "accepting orders" as soon as 1 cab is live.

Re: Open reach says Yes, Infinity says No

thanks. i just can't believe the estimated speed increase - this must be one of the worst estimates ever!! There will be no point upgrading to get an extra 1mb!

Re: Open reach says Yes, Infinity says No

The estimate is for the full postcode. My estimated speed multiplication was only 6.something but I was only getting 2.3meg.

I now get 80meg.

Re: Open reach says Yes, Infinity says No

i've found a rough calculation to do is <your speed (mb)*12.5 which is rough i guess.

Re: Open reach says Yes, Infinity says No

Do you agree 4mb x 1.32 is unrealistic?

Re: Open reach says Yes, Infinity says No

I live in Shirley too.

I"d been keeping an eye on the Fibremap updates. Last weekend, BT performed some trunk upgrades (apparently) and also updated the Fibremap.

Shirley was originally listed with an estimated date of 30-Jun 2012. This was taken from the Fibremap page on the 30th June.

=========================================

30TH JUN 2012

Four Oaks, Hereford, Ipsley, Kidderminster, Milford, Oswestry, Penkridge, Redditch, Shirley, Stirchley, Sutton Coldfield, Wellington.

=========================================

However, Shirley has now been removed from the Fibremap estimates completely, not appearing even in the outlying December 2013 group.

I rang BT about this last weekend, and the rep said that there were no immediate plans for Shirley to be Infinity enabled in the near future.

I take it that this means that Infinity won't ever happen in this area!

BT - this is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!

This was taken from Fibremap today.

Re: Open reach says Yes, Infinity says No

Hello thanks for the info

You are right, it has completely disappeared from http://www.fibremap.bt.com/ !!

I have a screenshot of the old page which said June!

This has got to be a mistake, the open reach twitter declared that Shirley was accepting orders?!! Also their website says yes

http://www.superfast-openreach.co.uk/where-and-when/

Can somebody from BT on here please find out what is going on?
