Hi all just got an upgrade to Infinity , seems a good deal at ony £2 extra a month.

Only thing is when the engineer finished he said great it is now working at 35 mbs out of the 40 possable but I ran the speed test in mybt and found that it was only 10mbs . Any thoughts on this ? Also do you still have to have filters fitted to all devices as before as they have all been taken offMan Surprised            Pete

Re: Filter

Also are you still in your training period. Within the first 10 days (sometimes a tad longer) you line will be going up and down like a yo-yo. It's just the exchange trying to find the best speed vs stability on the line 🙂

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

The exchange has nothing to do with it, everythings controlled from the RDSLAM at the cabinet. The first 24hrs should be at full throttle although unstable then DLM will kick in and over the next few days will test different profiles whilst looking for the best stable speed for the line.

BT won't do anything withon the first 10 days but this is just a legacy decision from ADSL in reality VDSL has settled within 72hrs.
