Firmware upgrade ?? should this have happened ...help with understanding.

Wondered if someone could explain this below .... wifi dropped today, came back - had a look in logs and found several Firmware messages amongst other stuff. Question is :   why the "!" after the build version thats looks to have been synched & doesnt firmware normally upgrade in the scheduled hours that have been set - in my case : 0200: 0600 ?  Finally what is the significance of the "HTTP -start.." entry.

Cheers.

Re: Firmware upgrade ?? should this have happened ...help with understanding.

Hi,

Hopefully I can help!

Question is :   why the "!" after the build version thats looks to have been synched

- It's just part of the log entry, it's not actually in the build number.

doesnt firmware normally upgrade in the scheduled hours that have been set - in my case : 0200: 0600 ?

- Yes the automatic check/upgrade is during that window but all secondary discs also check they have the same firmware as the primary disc when they connect at a management level - this could be anytime they reboot, reconnect Wi-Fi or restart any internal services. This is to make sure all discs always have the same firmware.

Finally what is the significance of the "HTTP -start.." entry.

- It's logged when the HTTP web server starts. It may be that your disc restarted services (to automatically fix a fault) which resulted in the new firmware sync event. It shouldn't be anything to worry about unless you are having other issues.

Stay safe & keep well,
