Re: First problem with Infinity...0.17 download speed

Hi Sendandreturn,

Could you run a speed test using www.speedtest.btwholesale.com and post your results? You will need to run the "Further Diagnostics" once the first test completes.

Thanks

Re: First problem with Infinity...0.17 download speed

Hey PaddyB,

Download 24 (25.47 max), Upload 6.09 (10 max)

ping 34ms

It certainly doesnt "feel" like that, and speedtest.net doesnt even connect for 30 seconds, I get 0.00mb.s then 24, and an average combined score of 5mb/s DL.

Those were my results, ~25 d/l , ~6.7 u/l...

So the figures aren't bad. What has changed since having fibre, is that in Chrome every web seach takes 2-3 seconds to kick in, I have the spinning circle for 2-3 seconds. Once up, it's fast...but it's the connecting in the first place.

Re: First problem with Infinity...0.17 download speed

hi sendandreturn,

Speeds look good.  Is the connection solid or do you notice any drops?

Could be worth downloading a new browser and trying that.  Sometimes browsers toolbars can get congested with add-ons which slow them up.  A new one should be free of these.

Cheers

Craig

Re: First problem with Infinity...0.17 download speed

Can I have this looked at please...whilst I was watching the results one second it was 0.01 then 22, then 1.17...it is SO slow tonight. In fact the way these numbers are may explain why ne second it is SO low, then it behaves, then it is slow...

I actually miss the ADSL when it's like this lol, and I am so glad I didn't go for the option 2, as I only get 25 out of 40mb dl

This took 45 seconds to load tonight...

This isn't right.
