Fon/Openzone

For the first time in July I was able to access both services thank to the Apple App.

Why can't you download a file greater than 20MB? I was trying to download an audio book but told it couldn't as it was over  20 MB.

Re: Fon/Openzone

I would have thought download limits were more to do with device functionality than the Fon/BTOZ service itself.

Re: Fon/Openzone

Smiley Surprised Must be Fon/BTOZ related then, do you stll have the download limit if you try and connect to your own hub on the Fon connection, rather than the wireless key option?

Re: Fon/Openzone

Hi

I still haven't worked out how to log on to BT Hotspot/openzone when out and about - either on my blackberry or laptop.  I am a BT Infinity customer and have registered with BT Fon.  Although the logo comes on the Blackberry I am getting to the internet via my mobile phone access rather than wi-fi.  This is easy to establish as

a.  It's a slow connection and

b.  I go onto BT Fon and it says I have used 0 minutes.

I have also tried connecting to internet on the laptop but no joy.  Neither mobile or laptop has given me the option to log on using my BT log in and password.

Any advice would be appreciated before I go on holiday and really need it!

Re: Fon/Openzone

Hi Wyn

It might be down to the actual hotspot you're trying to connect too, the commercial one's i.e Starbucks, Hitlon, Thistle Hotels ect are the dedicated ones fully supported.

But what should happen is Connect to Openzone/BTFON signal, open browser Openzone/FON landing page should be on the screen before typing in you're login details select what type of customer you are i.e Total Broadband then login.

All else fails speak to the help desk 08000223322

So, does the problem still persist, when you try to sign into Fon on your home hub connection instead of your wi fi key?
