hope this is in right part of forum bill
Speedtester started doing this to me yesterday...just hangs after the first screen displaying IP profile.
Quite annoying as I have line speed problems at the moment.
I have just tried running it and it seems to be fine - at least for me. I'm not sure how many servers the tester is hosted on. I suppose if its more than one, one of these could be down, hence the problem.

The speedtester also fails for me
Connect times out on 1st test,
Stops at 96%, message No of threads 4
Also I received this message
The Performance Tester is now testing Broadband connection. Your configured download throughput speed for this service is 2000 k
Does this mean my line is configured for maximum of 2000k download, as I should have up to 8000k
Thanks
Nick
Are any of you trying to use speedtester via Firefox?
It used to work for me but stopped a while back. BT confirmed that speedtester was not configured for FF and should only be tried using IE.
Still crashing today (I've used it with no probs in the past).
Crashes after first IP profile screen (Windows XP and IE7)

I'm using it on FF 3.6 with a BT Business Hub - and it seems to be working fine. The common factor seems to be the HomeHub.

Why does this happen and how can it be fixed?
Gets to 96% of speed test completed and then fails every time.
A couple of other folk have been complaining about probs with the speedtester over the last couple of days - so ther might be some sort of widespread problem which you might be experiencing.
To be honest, this time on a Friday may be a bad time to try using it. Leave it until everyone is out at the pub, or try early in the morning!
