Re: BT Speedtester - 'Number of Threads are 4' Error

If you're using Firefox that's the reason.

I've had it confirmed bt BT that speedtester is only configured to run on IE.

Having said that it used to work for me using FF.

Some forum members can still use it.

If you're using IE I'm not sure.

DS - Speedtester is still working fine for me on FF3.6 - so I think you were being told porky pies (again)!

Re: BT Speedtester - 'Number of Threads are 4' Error

GD. I think we had our first cross post!

Just tried using 3.6 and got

I'll give IE a dusting down later and give that a go.

Re: BT Speedtester - 'Number of Threads are 4' Error

@ iainkirk. Your message is exactly the same as what I used to get on FF.

I was expecting to see it again but got the above.

Re: For mod's to check ( speedtester)

@ usernoname. Just tried using Firefox 3.6 and got the exact message as you.

There's definatley gremlins in the system.

I used to get to 96% complete and thats where it would stay.

Re: For mod's to check ( speedtester)

I generally use - http://217.32.105.42:50301/ , doesn't work otherwise. Fails at 96% using FF 3.6 on linux if I don't use that url.

Re: For mod's to check ( speedtester)

I'm not sure what the problem is, but I am fairly sure its not FF3.6

I've just run it again to prove the point!

Re: BT Speedtester - 'Number of Threads are 4' Error

"Number of Threads are 4" flashes up for an instant before the speed test completes - when it runs properly.  Not sure that helps much.

Incidentally, I just ran Speedtester again for your benefit - see here

Re: BT Speedtester - 'Number of Threads are 4' Error

I beginning to think this might be linked to Vision as you don't get the QoS green bar.

I 'normally' get two results on the page not one.

Anyone else having problems got a BT Vision box?

Re: BT Speedtester - 'Number of Threads are 4' Error

Good thinking DS - not having a BTV box cos my line is way too slow (Sob! - that's twice you've reduced me to tears tonight!) I'd not thought of that possibility.

Couldn't you unplug the box and try without it - or would that mess up too many other things to be worth it?
