Logging into My Account, I am greeted with...
Great - I have a BT mobile, and Fibre2 Broadband, so having this offer at no additional cost is ideal.
I go through the process, but instead of my monthly cost retaining it's £33.91 cost - the offer is an additional £8.00
(offer clear states free upgrade - not additional cost)
Naturally - I did not commit to this offer.
Checking the other broadband offers available - the new charges just don't reflect what should be applied.
I've contacted BT with regards to this Halo 1 Free upgrade, and they say "The offer does not exist"
I have asked the agent to raise this as a complaint, as I find this misleading, and if the offer is advertised, then should be honoured. Time will tell.
Anyone had problems with BT and their offers ?
Phone the options team who are dealing with contract renewals/ upgrades and see what you can negotiate 0800800030
Hi, this I've have done, but the agent says the offer doesn't exist - I have asked him to raise it as a complait (should have feedback during next week)
Just had a quick look at My account - and the Halo 1 offer has now changed to be an additional £3 a month.
Going through the the process, the offer unlike the 'Free upgrade' is an additional £3.
Naturally - I have not taken this offer up !
Is BT pulling a 'fast one' - covering their tracks ?
From other forum posts the £3 increase in cost appears to be the common offer
Normally if you upgrade, there is an additional upgrade cost, for things like a new home hub or a mini hub. These would involve postage and activation charges.
I think you will find that its those charges that are free, so in effect, the upgrade is free, with no additional charges. Of course its going to involve a change of contract, which is likely to cost more, and you are likely to be worse off.
