btsport cancel subscription

Hi all,

i am probably speaking on behalf of thousands of BTSPORT subscribers who have tied and failed to get through to BTSPORT customer services to cancel or pause their subscription.

I myself, have spent the last 7 days, each day for 1 hour, trying to get through to the support team to cancel my subscription. Each and every time i phone BT I am put on a loop system with no information to say how long or where I am in the line.

BT management should be ashamed of the support service they are providing, or not; it is clear they have no intention of answering the phone or allowing customers to cancel subscription. I have reached my limit of patience, furthermore my phone credit has taken a serious hit, i will cancel my direct debit given I have no contract with this company.

If BTSPORT wishes to contact me concerning my subscription cancellation, I will be as helpful as the y have over the 7days. Good luck BTSPORT on getting back you loyal customers.

Re: BT Sport - are they allowing you to pause

The problem is BT are  money grabbing ****s and are staying completely silent on the issue.

"Is there any admin on this site? All these topics about sport. Do they actually know how to run a forum? The idea is to keep things in one place."

This forum is primarily a forum for the community of users to exchange information and ideas.  There are mods on here who tend to be very good on picking up on issues that need to be passed on for BT to resolve.  The mods *have* picked up on the issue of cancelling / pausing BT Sport and posted a link to a page with the current status about it which is were people need to go for the latest information.  They are not in a position themselves to do anymore as it is a big decision which is way above their pay grade.

It does not help that people keep asking the same question over and over without paying attention to what has already been said.  All it is doing is flooding the forum.

And it also doesn't really help when people are continually ranting about the same thing on what is a customer to customer help forum. There's nothing we can do to help because people feel, rightly or wrongly, aggrieved about the current situation.

BT Sport

Hi

1st post so unsure as to what to expect, but looking for  advice/guidance.

I have been a BT customer for over 2 years, purely for BT Sport, I don’t even have a handset in the house.

Every month I’ve paid my £36 for just a few live  games/matches (including HD etc).

But now I don’t even get to watch live sport.

I’ve tried on numerous occasions to speak to someone at BT about freezing my account until the live sport starts again, but the queue to get through is always just too long.

Now today, my new bill is out. Any suggestions as to what I can do?

Can I just cancel my account and not pay this bill?  It’s for the following 30 days use anyway.

Any advice is appreciated.

Neil

Re: BT and coronavirus (Covid-19)

I only have BT Sports with BT and considering there is no live sports to watch, why am i not being offered any savings or a pause on my bill?  Sky have paused Sky Sports billing until live sport is restored.

Thanks

Sara

suspend my BT sport account

Why is BT not allowing suspension of its sport package during this time. I fins this totally unacceptable when others are offering this facility. Totally unacceptable.

If they dont change this policy i for one will certainly not be renewing my package.

Re: BT Sport

Just submit a complaint online as I did, I then had a call within a few days and managed to secure a credit on my account for future payments. The only way to cancel your contact is to speak to them is to call them but at present they've made that seemingly virtually impossible,

Re: Freeze payment for BT Sport

There is a lot of angry customers on Twitter, and all the world can see how poor they are reacting to this.

BT are covered by their T&C,so they can charge all they want, even if they do not screen any live sport. So customers options , to cancel everything when your contract comes up for renewal  & go elsewhere.

BT Sport during the Coronavirus

Can I please ask why we are still being charged the full amount for live BT Sport when there is none? Other suppliers have suspended payments but BT, as far as I can see have not!! I find this a ridiculous situation in that we are paying for a service we cannot receive.  When can we expect payments to be suspended and will they be back dated to the end of live sport??
