Sky are letting people pause their payments for the Sports channels.
Sky had also said that when it restarts you may not have any discount applied which you may currently have.
Not sure if that still stands.
@Arry1wrote:Are BT going to freeze the payment for BT Sport until the sport it back up and running...…..like Sky Sports have done? I am very reluctant to pay for a service that I will not be able to use/doesn't exist/shows no live sport. Maybe follow in the same steps as Sky and as soon as the sport is back up and running we can all re-activate our BT Sport subscription? If nothing is done to help the customers out I will be cancelling everything I have with BT that's for sure.
Just want to add my support for a freeze. It isn't difficult, and it is fair. When sport restarts then un-freeze the payments. Come on BT.....we are all in this together. There are folks out there with no income right now. Do the right thing.
I don't get how BT can continue to charge for a service they can no longer supply, it's a strange attitude to take given unlike a lot of businesses it's unlikely CV will seriously affect their finances.
Hi...We wish to cancel our BT Sport package as we have it separate from all our other TV payments and it now stands at £36 per month. It is obviously not being utilised at present and so needs to be cancelled. Why can this not be done online as it is very difficult or near on impossible to get to speak to anyone about it.
This issue is beginning to make BT look irresponsible and greedy to the general public and loyal customers.
Yes, I've just been trawling the website to see if it possible, but other than the standard bumpf about Covid, it seems it is not possible. Perhaps they don't want to make it too easy?
In contrast, Sky are allowing you to pause your sports package while this is ongoing.
@gomezz They don’t need to freeze it. Just add credit to the account.

Keep in mind that a pause of your sports package could throw its end date out of sync with your broadband package end date.
This could mean that when your broadband package comes to an end you will still have some months to run on your sports package which would mean you having to either re-contract your broadband package or lose the months remaining on your Sports package.
You need to get it clarified if BT go down that route what will happen in that instance.
@k865uk "the public... do not forget and will take their business elsewhere." The will go where they get the best deal.
