Friends and family mobile

Do I have to have this? I thought it was free when i signed up but it seems to be costing me £1.50 a month and I don't use it!

why are BT bills so stupid!

Re: Friends and family mobile

It is free if its part of the calling plan, but otherwise £1.50 per month.

You should be able to have it removed if you don't use it. Only charged on a per month basis, so you should only be charged again if you are mid month (my logic).

Give them a ring and have it removed, think there is an option online but heard its akward to use.

Re: Friends and family mobile

They have agreed to remove - however I am convinced it was part of the plan originally but the monthly adjustment seems to have disappeared.

Also they have increased the agreed £7.50 to £8.00 for broadband/evening and weekend. I asked if this meant I was now free form my 18 month contract and they said no.

How does this work? Surely if you are tempted away from a different company by a special deal they cannot then put it up 3 months later and insist that you cannot leave. I know 50p isn't much but on this principle they could put it up to £20 next month and still not let me go?

Re: Friends and family mobile

just realised you seem like your on a package deal, if you are on one you shouldn't be affected until that contract ends. Says so in the link above.

Did you renew recently? that may be why the increase would apply to you. if not i'd point this out to the billing people ot the mods on here - even bt's own page says you aren't affected until your current offer ends.
