Funimation not loading

Hoping to get some help

I've had trouble loading up funimation.com for a while now, used to work intermittently but now it doesn't load at all,
just says 

This site can’t provide a secure connection

funimation uses an unsupported protocol.

ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH

I tried on a friends laptop at their house and on my mobile data and both load the website just fine, so I narrowed it down to BT

I tried using a free VPN which gets the site to load but won't  let me use it as I'm "out of territory"

I tried the DNS fix by setting it to the default google one but that didn't help either

Possible the site is blocked for whatever reason by BT, it's a service I pay for and would love to be able to use it properly again

Any help in the matter would be greatly appreciated

There has been some access problems on a few websites in the last couple of months, which seemed to be down to BT and AWS I think, but the immediate shortcut then was to use Google DNS settings. However, I can access Funimation fine on my BT connection so I'm more inclined to think that the problem isn't with BT.

What browser are you using and have you tried any others?

I'm using Chrome and have tried Opera and Explorer

Opera's built in VPN lets me load the site but because of the VPN it registers as out of territory

A quick search suggests various causes/fixes, such as clearing SSL State on your browser. I'm far from knowledgeable on the subject but I would think that after a bit of reading, the problem may lie with your set-up.

I can load the site on Edge, Chrome, Firefox and Safari. If possible, get a friend to connect to your network with their device and see if they can load it then, after checking that they can load it outside of your network.

SSL slate is clear, website works on my mobile data but not wifi, nor on any tablets, only the app will load

It can be loaded on a friends laptop, at their house, using their wifi, but that's sky

@Andy005 out of interest do you have web protect on?

I have no issue going on it with that disabled

It's working well enough for the time being again, just want to future proof to stop this happening again

No, I have parental controls off. That was going to be my next question but you got there first. At least you have a way of accessing the site now, not ideal perhaps but the cause is now apparent.

Not parental controls, but web protect
It's a seperate setting

Sorry, my mistake. No I don't have that on either. I try to avoid such things that are provided by an ISP, there's a tendency for them to cause niggly problems. I didn't even know that BT offered Web Protect to be honest.
