Not for 99.9% of users of the box it’s not. And the GUI is better IMHO.
So does your DTRT-1000 have jump to time? Does it work with Red Button text? Does it have a proper disply of the live pause buffer? Like they did in 2016
I bet not
So your "99.9%" is just hogwash really isn't it
This T1000 update is a positive move, not negative.

I'm not so sure. Car analogy - at the end of the day competitors are racing forward in their Audi's (Sky Q, Virgin) whilst BT youview customers are in their VW Golf (BT UHD) or their Ford Fiesta (DTR 2100) whilst their DTR-100 customers are still driving their Yugo's.

I saw it as positive in the sense of finding a fiver after losing a tenner is positive. There is also the implication that this is it for DTRT-1000s. An honourable company would offer DTRT-1000 users the option of revising back to the June 2016 software build.

No it’s not. These are features nobody but a handful of people even know exist or even care about. But, hey you have the right to keep banging your drum about it.
Here is another bang on the drum. I’m certainly one of the handful who miss “jump to time” feature and would like to see it back.

Very few know, or knew of these types of features simply because the provider chooses not to tell them. Generally speaking, users only find out if they are beta testers or are active in tech forums. I was with Sky for years and only found out about a lot of features when I started beta testing.
It baffles me why the likes of BT and Sky don't have a "Get to know your STB" section, one that is easy to find. It often seems to be that they make finding useful information harder than easier.

How strange then that the collation of comments in the other thread showed 'jump to time' as the most requested feature to be restored - see post 88 here: https://community.bt.com/t5/YouView-from-BT/Next-generation-YouView-feedback-discussion/td-p/1774101...
And over on the YouView forum it is the most commonly requested feature.

Anyone got it and noticed which bugs 29.58 has actually fixed?
Well 29.58 arrived on my box and to no surprise the live pause rewind still doesn't work properly with a full buffer and another recording on or recently finished

Seriously? The jump to time feature is more highly sought after than a pay rise. Have you just returned from 'off planet' or something similar?
