Future proofing a new build for fiber

I am in the process of building my own house out of town, I have yet to order a BT line for the property.

I will be coming off the Keady Cabinet 9 and according openreach roll out list it will soon offer FTTC/P  (NIKY KEADY FTTC/P Now Northern Ireland)

I would like to future proof the house for Fiber, if I bought my own fiber cable and layed it out from house to near the pole (40meters) , would open reach be able to connect to the fiber cable even if fiber is not available just yet at that pole?

Could someone suggest the best way I can prepare for fiber in a new build?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Kieran

Re: Future proofing a new build for fiber

I doubt Openreach would use your fibre. The best thing you could do would be to lay ducting from the pole to your house, that is of course assuming that the fibre would be run to that pole in the first place.
