Gaming problems with Xbox one lagging and disconnecting via wifi

My son has had problems for the last 6-8 weeks with his xbox one lagging and sometimes disconnecting when gaming through xbox live we currently have Bt Infinity superfast broadband and it may be a wee bit slow at times on the computer but we have no other issues what should I do?

Hi @Paudie  welcome to the forum and sorry that your son is having a problem with lag on the Xbox. 
Are you using the BT Hub? Also is the Xbox connected via Ethernet and not wireless? If it is currently wireless it would be best to connect via Ethernet and test if the lag improves.

Thanks for your suggestion John, aye its wireless at the minute and my wife doesn't like the idea of a cable down through the ceiling so it will probably remain lagging. thanks anyway
